
Therapeutic Approach
There are many different techniques and approaches to how therapy can be done, and each therapist has their own personal touch. My therapeutic approach can be described as warm, affirming, informed and collaborative. In the first few sessions we will begin to build a therapeutic rapport and clarify what goals you have for therapy. As we continue in our work, I will use a variety of therapeutic techniques and frameworks to best support you and your individual needs and goals. I use skills from therapeutic modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Feminist Theory and others. I view the relationship with therapist and client as a collaborative dynamic and acknowledge and honor the personal freedom and choice that every client has.
